Care Medical Center was a pioneer in introducing Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy to South Georgia in 2003. This Medical Breakthrough is called Cox Decompression Therapy (COX-D). The treatment is safe, painless, non-invasive, non-surgical and clinically proven to treat neck pain, back pain, herniated/bulging discs, spinal stenosis, numbness/tingling and sciatica. When you consider a treatment for your neck or back pain, the bottom line is RESULTS. Clinical research has proven Cox Decompression Therapy to be 91% effective for lumbar sprain/strain and 86% effective for herniated discs. That's why choosing Care Medical Center is the best choice for treating your neck or back pain. Call us today to see if you are a candidate.
Cox Decompression Therapy is a treatment performed on a table and administered by a trained Doctor. The treatment is safe and painless and many patients get relief after the first treatment. The table can be adjusted to make sure that you are comfortable during the treatment. You may be a candidate for decompression therapy if you have experienced any of the following conditions: back pain, neck pain, herniated discs, bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, facet syndrome, sciatica, numbness/tingling.
How Decompression Works
During spinal decompression therapy, pressure is reduced inside the disc, which in turn allows fluids, nutrients and oxygen back into the disc. The reduction of the pressure inside allows the bulging or herniated disc to retract and relieves pressure of nerve roots. Introducing nutrients into the nucleus can stop disc degeneration and heal tears in the disc's annulus. Disc height can be restored through rehydration of the disc's nucleus and in turn de-flame the facet joints. Spinal decompression therapy is designed to alleviate these problems that cause low back pain. Treatment is not aimed at symptoms, but rather offers a natural healing of the disc.
TESTAMONIAL From DR. RYAN MOORMAN
"When I herniated my L-5/S-1 disc three years ago I was told I would have to have surgery and quit work. I decided to undergo the same spinal decompression therapy that I recommend for my patients and now I live pain free! I am able to work, play golf, fish and carry on a healthy active lifestyle."

If you are considering surgery for neck or back pain, bulging or herniated discs, four to eight weeks of conservative therapy such as Cox Decompression Therapy should be considered before surgery is an option.
